Our Story

Rachel Silber, BCBA has been working with children with autism since she was in high school.
What started as an early calling became a career — years spent in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, learning what works, what doesn’t, and what families actually need from the people who show up at their door. She earned her BCBA certification and spent two years supervising cases, writing treatment plans, and watching firsthand how much individualized care can change a child’s trajectory.
One thing kept coming up: too many agencies treated ABA like a formula. Same goals, same structure, same plan — regardless of the child. Rachel knew it didn’t have to be that way.

So she and her husband Moshe built Elite Steps ABA.
Moshe handles the operations side — credentialing, contracts, and building a team — so Rachel can focus entirely on what she does best: designing treatment plans that are as individual as the children they serve, and supervising every case with the attention it deserves.
Together, they saw a need for ABA services across New Mexico and felt ready to meet it. Not with a franchise model. Not by scaling fast and hoping quality follows. But by starting small, hiring carefully, training thoroughly, and earning every family’s trust from the ground up.

What We Believe

ABA is one of the most effective approaches for helping children with autism build independence, communication, and life skills. The research is clear. But research alone doesn’t build trust with a family.
We believe the difference between ABA that works and ABA that transforms a family’s life is in how it’s delivered: who writes the plan, who carries it out, how closely it’s supervised, and whether anyone actually listens to the parent.
